To show up in Claude, publish authoritative source pages, keep the business entity consistent, earn relevant independent references and make factual claims easy to verify. Test realistic Claude prompts and improve the source pages behind weak or incorrect answers.
01 / Priorities
Work in this order
Claude answers are prompt-dependent. The table keeps the programme grounded in source quality and customer questions.
| Rank | Priority | What to do this week |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Reliable source | Publish one complete answer page and cite its sources. |
| 2 | Technical access | Check status, canonical, rendering and sitemap inclusion. |
| 3 | Entity consistency | Align company, people, product and market descriptions. |
| 4 | Independent context | Earn a relevant mention, interview or customer reference. |
| 5 | Prompt review | Repeat the same questions and record citations and errors. |
02 / Sources
Build pages a careful reader would trust
Claude is not a directory where you enter a business and wait for a result. The durable work is a library of pages that explain what you do, who it is for, how it works, what it costs or changes, and where the evidence comes from.
Use specific claims, not vague superlatives. A case study should identify the site, period, intervention and approved outcome. A service page should explain the customer problem and deliverables. An author page should make experience and responsibility clear.
03 / Structure
Make the answer easy to extract without making it robotic
Start with a concise answer, then use descriptive subheadings, short paragraphs, tables and examples. Put the qualification next to the claim it qualifies. Readers should not have to reconstruct the conclusion from a long introduction.
Keep the human details. Explain why a team chose one route, what failed, or what a small business should not spend time on. This is where a practitioner guide becomes more useful than a generic AI summary.

04 / Entity
Keep names, roles and relationships consistent
Use one canonical organization name and connect it to the visible About, Contact, Team and case-study pages. Mark up the organization and people only when the properties are true and shown. Keep the same spelling and role across LinkedIn, partner sites, media and your own site.
Do not add unsupported Wikipedia, Wikidata or social URLs. A smaller set of accurate references is stronger than a large set of guessed identifiers.
05 / Authority
Earn the kind of mention that explains your expertise
Prioritize references that add context: a customer describing the work, an editor quoting your research, a podcast discussing a method, or a partner explaining a shared implementation. Keep a source register so the team knows which claims are approved and current.
Avoid treating a link as the entire objective. If the mention does not help a prospective customer understand the company, it is unlikely to help the broader entity either.
06 / Testing
Test Claude answers like a customer
Write prompts for discovery, comparison and implementation: “Who can help a US SaaS company with technical SEO from the Philippines?”, “What should I check before changing an ecommerce category template?”, or “Which evidence would support this claim?” Record the answer, citations, omissions and errors.
Review the source pages that Claude uses and the pages it misses. Improve the source, not the prompt. Then re-test after a meaningful update and note the date.
- Keep a fixed prompt set and a change log.
- Check whether cited pages actually support the answer.
- Separate brand visibility from qualified enquiry performance.
- Use customer feedback to add missing context.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Can I force Claude to cite my company?
No. You can improve discoverability and source quality, but the answer and citations depend on the system, prompt and available sources.
Does Claude optimization replace technical SEO?
No. Technical access, useful content and reliable entities are prerequisites for any sustainable search visibility.
Should I publish a separate page for every AI assistant?
Only when the query and audience differ. Avoid thin pages that repeat one general AI-search explanation.
Build the source pages behind the questions your buyers ask.
We can map the questions, evidence and technical work without turning your site into a collection of AI keyword pages.
